Are newspapers on life support?
When was the last time you read a real newspaper? You know, one with ink on paper. I ask this question because very few of my neighbors - one on my street - has the paper delivered everyday. I know the internet is the news source of choice for most people under 50 but is the decline speeding up? I grew up reading the newspaper (I'm 41) but I have not subscribed to a newspaper in more than a decade - most of that time I did not have the internet. I have to think that traditional newspapers and magazines see the writing on the wall - obviously most have a website now - but at some point they will have to decide if they want to continue to put resources and capital into newspapers and magazines, I would think. It is kind of sad but like life - things change and evolve.
