Advancement of Society Advancement in society - does it come at a cost? We all would like to think that we are advancing as a society. But is that advancement the good or bad? Does the advancement come at a cost? Take a look at technology. The internet has advanced society in many ways but like all new technology some will use it for good things and others will use it for bad things. The internet has made a large world smaller. Is that good or bad? Information is at our finger tips. Information on events are transmitted instantly. Is this good or bad? Everyone has an opinion in this internet world. Is this good or bad? I'm sure when the telephone, television, vehicles, trains and highways were developed many people asked the same kinds of questions. So where are we as a society? Certainly we are better off as a whole than other generations but are we using it wisely for the greater good or only for our greater good? Questions to ponder as you go through your daily life. There are not any right or wrong answers. Answers to these questions will take decades, if ever - so enjoy this ever evolving world.
